Aspirations’ logo tells it all with the hands extended “Offering” help; with the eyes wide-open, full of hope, waiting for someone to accept the “Offer” of a hand-up, instead of a hand-out.
Aspirations prides itself on its CULTURAL COMPETENCY by understanding youth-at-risk, persons with risky behavior, commercial sex workers and substance users; we continue to acquire knowledge and training to better enhance our ability to accept the behavior, belief, bias and problems confronting its clients and potential clients. While showing professionalism and compassion, Aspirations is able to meet the needs of those seeking their services.
Aspirations is a faith-based, non-profit organization that is client centered. Our target population is never discriminated against because of their race, religion, creed, color. gender preferences, or other affiliations.
Aspirations is adamant about remaining a stable, competitive, productive agency in the HIV/AIDS community. Our vision for the future is to make a positive impact on the target population in the fight against the HIV/AIDS virus through education, support and continued outreach. Additionally, Aspirations will assist and help to enable the target population to make safer choices by promoting healthy living, mentally, physically, socially, and economically.
The use of radio, television, newspapers, public appearances, special events, local colleges, churches, community interaction; advocating on behalf of the target population to our elected officials, and collaborating with other agencies are the avenues Aspirations uses to reach its target population. To date, Aspirations has reached over one-hundred thousand people on a local, state, and national level.
Aspirations is now launching its website to reach thousands of others who utilize the world wide web. The message we spread is a serious one. HAVE THE TALK! Protect yourself, get tested, know your status! |
